The farm, farmer and the scarecrow

Once upon a time, a farmer lived a happy life. Happy family and abundant life. But not all stories makes a happy ending. The farmer wanted keep his family secured by providing them all they need. So the farmer made himself busy all the time by plowing and keeping the farm away from pests and crows. As time goes by, the farmer haven't noticed that his family was there for him, watching, waiting.. He was so focused about what's for them and for him, he made himself a human machine just to provide everything for his family but it was already too late.

We often thought that our loved-ones are like scarecrows, always there trying to protect us and keeps us safe.

His family moved away and kept a distance hoping that soon everything will be alright. The farmer still do what he has to do, plow the fields and turn crops into money. Till he found a scary doll from a fancy bazzar in the town. He thought that he can place it somewhere in the field and put some wires connected to cans of pork and beans. The scary doll was a big help for the farmer because it scares the crows that eat the wheat. His wheat was much healthier than ever which means more production. He earned a lot of money that gave him oppurtunity to buy some properties and he said to the doll, from now on I will call you "scarecrow". His life was full of people around him, thinking that it was all about him. Months and years gone by, the farmer made fortune out of his farm crops and the scarecrow is still standing in the middle of it.

The scarecrow was a big help to him but the farmer was maybe lost because he was too afraid to loose what he had earned. Until one night, a strong tornado hit the land, sweeping everything on its path and the aftermath was horrifying.

The farmer needed to recover from his lost but everything was not the same again. He tried to save yet it was too late, the scarecrow was already gone. The farmer tried to make a scarecrow of his own but it was not the same as what he thought as before. He lost everything he had, his family, his money and his scarecrow.

THOUGHTFUL THOUGHTS:

We want to experience on how to love and be loved, but what is love when it is just a one-way process. The story depicts on the relationship of two characters, the farmer and the scarecrow. Sometimes we are mislead with our own endevours in life that we thought it was the best one, but we are wrong. We often forget of those people whom we thought are scarecrows who loved us unconditionally, those who never left us when we are down, when we feel we are alone.

Despite the pressures in life, we should never neglect, forget or even just take forgranted those people who made us complete everyday. Show how much you love them, on how you care for them, say "I love you" when you feel the same way because love is not a cliche, express your deepest feeling to your special someone and made them feel that they are much important than this world has to offer.

As the famous saying goes, "You can't tell how important the person is to you when he/she is already gone."

Don't wait to be the farmer or the scarecrow, if you don't want to hear --- "it's over..."

10 things you must give up to move forward...

  1. this is a motivating post.

Indeed it is easy to forget your real intention in life especially if you see different opportunities. Opportunities can be temptations also to lure you away from what you really want and what's good for you.
